“Gorgeous! Thai Stockport”
Visited the Siam Village for the first time this month and I certainly wasn’t disappointed! I’m a great lover of Thai food, so I was apprehensive before going as I have had some fabulous Thai meals in the past. But it was gorgeous, the staff were lovely and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning soon!

“Didsbury Restaurant Siam Village”
Good quality food with high standards and fast service. You can have great main for under £25 for 2 people. Also there is drawing elephant in the toilet. You have to see it.

“Didsbury restaurant – fabulous!”
This is a review for the Didsbury branch of Siam Village. In one word – fabulous! Went for a birthday meal and it was great from start to finish…
Decor: nice and clean, with all the usual trimmings you would expect in a Thai restaurant but well presented. Highlight for me was the paintings by elephants! Soft lighting made it romantic without being too dark to see your food, and the music was at a level that allowed conversation.
Service: fast and friendly – everyone was very helpful and smiley, and very polite. Waitresses made sure to check if we had everything we needed but didn’t intrude on the meal.
Food: I am fussy about Thai food, but I had no complaints here! The mixed starter was lovely, giving a good range with veggie tempura, Thai fish cakes (which were gorgeous), chicken satay, prawn toast and spring rolls. Everything was cooked to perfection and was quickly munched up. For the mains, we had duck in tamarind sauce and king prawn Penang, both served with coconut rice. Again – gorgeous. Portions were good, food was really tasty and beautifully presented. Dessert was a banana split (little bit disappointing – it was not bad, just probably the weakest part of the meal!) and bananas in coconut milk which was lovely. The wine was ok, but not brilliant. I enjoyed all of the meal and thought it excellent value for money with truly Thai tastes!
Verdict: I will definitely be back! 🙂

“Pleasant dinner”
My wife and I had business in he Stockport area so stayed just down the road in the Premier Inn so this restaurant was easy to get to without driving. Not the best of locations but he restaurant was decorated in a lovely Thai style and had a very unique feature …a tv screen showing the chefs a work in the kitchen which in some ways was encouraging.
The food was good but not as authentic as far as ingredients were concerned. We had the mixed starters and all tasty and hot. Then green curry and a crispy beef dish. Prices ok but maybe a little high considering the location. We would go back if staying in that location and because the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

“Thai in Didsbury”
First time at this restaurant and food was excellent. Had the Chu Chee Duck, yellow Chicken Curry and a King Prawn Pad Thai. One of the best Thai meals we’ve had and ranks up there with Try Thai in Chinatown. Good wine list too and very friendly service. You can also watch the kitchen on one TV and the other runs a come to Thailand type video.

“Always very very good!”
Great food, great choice too and really friendly staff. Lovely inside and a great atmosphere too. A nice touch is the live TV feed to the kitchen so you can watch your food being prepared…! Highly recommend…

“Good Thai food at a bearable price”
There seem to be 2 Siam Village restaurants (shown on their website), this review is for the Didsbury venue. Staff very pleasant and attentive, working hard to make things work in a very competitive part of the city. Food of good quality and authentic for all 4 of us. Prices were not cheap but not extortionate either. Would return again.

“lovely food and atmosphere”
really nice food and atmosphere, will definitely be back. we didn’t have a appointment and walked in off the street and got a table, the staff were very friendly and really helpful.

“Tasty Thai curry”
I’m a big fan of Thai food and I’d recommend this restaurant. My girlfriend and I visited yesterday evening and we both enjoyed the experience. We both ordered starters, I had the tempura prawns and my girlfriend had the chicken satay skewers and both were tasty good size portions. For our mains we both ordered the red Thai curry and it didn’t disappoint, as it was full of flavour and very filling. The service was very efficient and friendly and i also found it interesting to see that you can watch the chefs preparing the food on a tv. we will definitely visit again.

“Our food at Didsbury’s Siam Village restaurant was best Thai food this side of Thailand.”
We had phoned to make our early Sunday evening reservation and were warmly greeted Thai style for this, our first visit to the Siam Village in Didsbury. While we selected from the menu, sat at our balconette table we were able to watch chefs cook on a wall monitor and we were soon enjoying a cool glass of Chang beer. We have visited Thailand several times and know the cuisine very well so our selections from the menu were made quite swiftly!
The food arrived, beautifully presented in exquisite crockery dishes, along with hot plates. The crispy chilli beef had just right sweet/sour ratio. The pad kra pow, chicken and basil leaf stir fry was cooked to perfection. The accompanying som Tom salad was also simply perfect. It was Thailand at home – even the serviettes were bespokely sewn cotton fabric – we loved the whole experience around our taste buds bring zinged Thai style – we hope they keep the same chefs and can serve such fine cuisine for us repeatedly – we shall see!

Siam Village Customer Philosphy

“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so” . (Ghandi)
